Archery is the art of propelling arrows with the use of a bow. Historically, archery has been used for hunting and in combat but in modern times its main use is that as a recreational activity. One who practises archery is typically known as an “archer” or “bowman”, and one who is fond of or an expert at archery can be referred to as a “toxophilite”.

Here at Knocknagoshel Shooting Grounds, they host both a 12-metre and 18-metre Field Target Archery as well as clay archery.
